Plans and development

Test in Oslo

In February 2025, Trawl Tech conducted an important test of our prototype. The test was conducted on the research vessel Trygve Braarud in the Oslofjord, in collaboration with the University of Oslo. The goal was to evaluate how the fish behave, specifically whether they change their behavior by integrating  our  solution.  We  performed  movement  pattern

Vi testet...

  • En trål som lå nær bunnen, for å se hvordan teknologien fungerer i realistiske forhold

  • Fiskens reaksjon og bevegelsesmønstre, dokumentert med ekkolodd og sensordata

mapping using advanced echo sounder technology. We also received valuable assistance and advice from the crew of Trygve Braarud R/V, who have extensive experience with how the vessel operates and how trawling is best carried out.

Next steps

To validate the technology under real conditions, we plan to carry out a new full-scale test in an area with higher fish density. During the next test, we will also have quota access and detailed equipment, enabling us to document both catch efficiency and environmental impact on a larger scale.
